I
lost my father at age 8, but I have my mother and my brother.
我幼年失父，但无比慈爱的母亲却佑护了我成长，给了我任性，却也给了我个性。
| My
watery
years began in Shima,
a small town in Longhai
City, Fujian Province, China (map).
Shima fills my memories
with recollections of the house
where I grew up, of mom
and dad,
of Chinese New Year,
of hometown church (picture
and text),
and of my
relatives: Uncle
Zhuang Lin, two
grandmas, 2nd
& 3rd Uncles, uncle and aunt in Haicheng, an even
smaller town than Shima, and
my cousins. When my cousins posted for a picture
with our elders, I was attending a boarding
school in Fuzhou.
The
boarding school I went to was a primary school. So, I learned
to be independent at age 11. Here are
pictures of me and a PLA man.

我的如水的童年是从福建省龙海县（现为市）石码镇开始的

对童年的回忆，常是从浸水埕老家开始，然后是礼拜堂
（图、文），大港墘、打石街，和王公巷。还有农历新年，爸爸、妈妈，庄林叔叔，内祖母和外祖母，二舅三舅，海澄姨父母和众多的姨表们.
