school,
I
coveted
the
job
of
a
page
(通讯员）, for,
after
sorting
out
papers
and
filling
thermal
bottles
with
boiling
water,
he
could
run
errands
on
a
company
bicycle,
and
he
could
play
ping
pong (table
tennis)
under
big,
bright
kerosene
lanterns
at
night.
