Kevin and his little brother (8) 恺恩和他的小弟弟 (八)

After almost three months' visit in Taiwan, our grandchildren are now back with us. Kevin remembers everyone and everything, but Caleb, staring hard at us, hesitated a little bit. He soon plunged into his grandma's arms, and soon was looking for me, his grandpa, or Yie Yie in Chinese. Beginning from tomorrow, Kevin has his first day in public school's K-12, as a kindergartner.

我们的两个小孙儿去台湾近三个月，五岁半的恺恩一进门，喊了爷爷奶奶，就直奔存放他的玩具的地方。一岁半的恺乐有些生分了。眼直直地看着，犹豫一会才投入他奶奶的怀抱。明天开始，恺恩正式跨入公立学校的门槛--幼儿园。这里的公立学校从 kindergarten 到十二级(即高中三)，所以统称 K-12。 K-12 是义务教育，统统免费，包括书本。

Across our street is Judson Baptist Church/Pre-school, which happened to be hosting a neighborhood block party, with huge plastic or rubber play structures, balloons, and all kinds of fun for young kids, and those young at heart.		恺乐和恺恩的游乐室我们家所在街道的对面是一家浸信会教堂(带学前班)。这一天正好是他们开 party 招待邻里小孩的日子。恺恩时差还没转过，迷迷糊糊的想睡。看到这些巨大的玩物，马上高高兴兴跟其他孩子玩去了。

Here is one of the huge play structures blown with air.		这是其中一座大型的充气塑料结构。它们的特点是孩子可以爬上爬下，跌跌撞撞，尽情玩而不至受伤。

Kevin waiting in line to try throwing a ball to the target so that he can throw the sitter into the water.		恺恩排队等着丢球。如果击中目标而且力度足，就可以把一个大人弹下大水槽。
