March 3 is Japanese "Girls' Day". So on that day, at the request of our Japanese in-laws, we brought our Misa girl to post with the dolls that her maternal grandparents gave as a gift--a very expensive gift for that.

Both Li-qing and I now spend a lot of time with Misa, and her brother Sage, and her parents in their Vancouver WA home. It's a 70 miles drive from Salem, and takes about one hour and 20 minutes. Both Vancouver and Salem are in the Willamette valley, and have similar weather forecast most of the time. For these days, the middle of March when "day-lights savings time" has officially started, we still have wintry weather of rain, ice, snow, and wind storm.

But I still walk every day for about 4 miles when I can, and we still meet with our other two grandsons, Kevin and Caleb, and their parents. All of them are doing well, as you can see from the photos on this page.

这些日子丽卿和我常到庄伟和麻纪子家来帮忙照顾雨诗和她的小哥哥星词。他们住的地方离我们那里有110公里远，开车约一个多小时。他们所在的城市是华盛顿州温哥华市，与我们住的 Salem 市 同属 Willamette （威拉姆特）河谷。因此，两个地方的天气十分相似。这个三月中旬，夏令时已经开始，但我们这里仍刮风下雨、冰雪交加。不过，只要天气过得去，我照样天天出去走路，每天走五六公里（可以从石码走到海澄了）。
