Xiamen is really beautiful, not just because of its beaches, but because of its infrastructure, of its roads, overcrosses, parks, and open space available to ordinary citizens.  Besides, the Xiamen government is paying attention to things like what people eat for breakfast.  Hopefully they will also pay attention to the sewage that is polluting the beaches.

Xiamen is also my second hometown.  I had my graduate studies here, and I taught here for eight years.  Both my sons attended their secondary schools here.  Xiamen is also the place we used to come every year to pay respect to our deceased father.  It's the connection, the link, and the bondage.
