Everyone in the group photo above looks happy, in particular my wife and I, for we had just endured a life-and death crisis.  Two months earlier on 9-24-2019, I passed out at midnight in bathroom.  One month after that, I had a daytime fall.  Things went downhill rapidly. On 12-2-2019, I had to go to ER. The next day, I survived a three hour Bilateral Subdural Hematomas operation. I stayed in the hospital for a total of 18 days.

Before I was hospitalized, my mother passed away in my hometown of Shima, Longhai, Fujian. She was 102 and had lived a full, active and productive life. Luckily for me, I was able to go back and visit her in her last years, among them 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2018.

Just when I began to enjoy my full recovery and was able to be out walking the streets, virus had spread to our city (Salem), state (Oregon), and everywhere else. Fortunately, our streets are usually not crowded, and our beaches are within easy access.  May God help us all. May everyone, everywhere be safe. May the virus wear itself out soon.

上图的照片里人人都高兴，特别是我和我的妻子--因为我们刚刚见证了生与死。二个月以前的2019年9月24日，我夜里昏倒在卫生间。一个月以后的白天，我走路时又跌倒在街上。接下去就一天比一天糟。终于在2019年12月2日，家人送我去急诊。次日，我动了三个小时的双边脑颅排血手术，十八天后才出院。

就在我住院之前，家母在家乡（漳州石码）去世。她102虚岁，过了充实的，活跃的有意义的一生。值得庆幸的是，我连续几年（2014, 2016, 2017, 2018）得以回到家乡和妈妈弟弟相聚。

正在我完全康复而且可以天天去走路之际，我们的城市和州也有了瘟疫。还好，这里的街道人不多，去海边也很方便。希望上帝保佑，希望大家安好，希望疫情早点过去。
