Celebrity Solstice cruise to Alaska 搭乘游轮去阿拉斯加

This page consists of three sections: (1) Liqing's Alaska trip with some of her friends on Celebrity Solstice; (2) Hong's and Eugene's fishing trip in Alaska; (3) Sage's and Misa's first day at school.

Celebrity Solstice is 1033 ft long, including a large theater with a 1,400+ seating capacity. It can take 2852 passengers and has a crew of 1250. Twelve of the pictures came from the web. Here's an introduction from Wikipedia .

The cruise sailed from Seattle, stopped at four Alaskan ports: Ketchikan, Tracy Arm FJords & Glacier, Juneau, and Skagway. On the seventh day, they called on Victoria British Columbia. That night, they turned back for Seattle, arriving on the morning of the eighth day.

Hong's and Eugene's fishing trip in Alaska lasted six days, by plane, big and small, by boat, and on foot, mostly in the wilderness area where their guide had to carry firearms (hence some trophy photos). Eugene is Hong's cousin from California.

Our grand-daughter, Misa, is old enough to attend kindergarten this year, and she goes to the same school with her older (two years) brother Sage, a second grader. Their sacks looked pretty big and heavy, not sure why. But their teachers are kind and welcoming.

小孙女雨诗今年可以上幼儿园了，跟她哥哥星词同一所学校。美国孩子上学一般不带什么东西。不晓得他们为什么带那么大的书包。但小雨诗显然很得老师们的疼。
