Birthdays are important to little kids simply because they mean a lot to the kids. So we gathered to celebrate Sage's 5th birthday. His grandma spent most afternoon to cook the brithday dinner. His mom came home early to get decorations done. Uncle Hong and family sent their presents, and Sage's God-parents came in person. The theme is Captain America, a cartoon figure that Sage now adores, in addition to his devotion to cars.

So, Sage has had a wonderful birthday. Being 5 year old, he will soon be eligible to attend kindergarten. Will he ever remember his 5th brithday? Will he ever remember the love and attention showered on him by those who love him? Or, does it really matter?

现在的孩子们渴望过生日，如同当年的我们渴望过春节。（但有哪个孩子知道大人的辛苦呢？）

因此，身为爷爷奶奶的我们来到华盛顿州的温哥华一道给五岁的孙子庆生日。他的奶奶忙了整个下午张罗晚餐。他的妈妈给他写了一张贺卡，还提早回来布置了以“美国队长”为主题的餐桌。他的伯伯一家人也托我们带来了礼物。他的教父教母也来了。

星词五岁，年底就可以去读幼儿园了。当他长大，他还会记得这个生日和前前后后的生日吗？他可会记得亲人们给他的爱？（但我们自己可都记得父母和亲人给过我们的爱？）
