On Christmas Day, we gathered at Hong's home to have our Christmas dinner. Then we posted for family pictures. This was indeed a big family reunion, for we have my brother, his wife, and his daughter visiting. Then we set to what kids like most, and had been asking well before dinner: gifts unwrapping. Mysteries revealed: Sage did get his toy car. When he took out a car that blared and bleated, he was indeed overjoyed. My brother and family also shared in this gift-sharing tradition, and were as happy as everyone else.

When 5-year-old Caleb came to me to give me a coin-shaped paper wrap, and told me that he made it himself for me, I felt a warmth in my heart. He and Kevin made and prepared their gifts all by themselves, without asking help (money or labor) from their parents. Most of their gifts were made of paper or dawning, but they were just as precious.

今年有我弟弟一家远道前来，我们有了大团圆。圣诞节那天我们在庄宏家会聚。晚餐后，在堆满礼物的圣诞树旁拍家庭照。然后，就应小孙子们从晚餐前就提出的要求：拆礼物。揭秘时刻！小星词果然取出一辆玩具车,颜色鲜艳，会闪会鸣，真使他激动极了。我弟弟、弟媳和他们的女儿也和大家一道交换礼物，见证圣诞节的欢乐。

当五岁的恺乐递给我一个铜钱大小的小纸包，说是他给爷爷的礼物，一阵热流温暖了我的心。他和他的九岁哥哥恺恩今年不要爸爸妈妈的金钱或人工，而是自己动手，想方设法自制礼物。他们的礼物大都是绘画或手工，但其意义，其分量，是只有亲对亲才会明白的。
