Ever since Christmas tree was up and Christmas gifts were being prepared, our 9-year-old and 5-year-old grandsons, Kevin and Caleb, had been poking around grandparents' bedroom to see what gifts bore their names.  We did not tell them yet, but for this year, both Kevin and Caleb will get books while 3-year-old Sage will get another toy car and 13-month-old Misa will get something that will hold her attention for a few minutes.

And some gifts without gift wrap, and much more treasurable, are from our friends and relatives in China.  My brother and sister-in-law are here for a visit, and they come with two suitcases of gifts. Among them are a pair of bracelets to Misa (see last picture on last row), and woolen socks and neck wrap for Li-qing and me.  At 93, my mom still takes care of herself, and does knitting. 

圣诞节的来临总伴随着礼物。包得密密实实、华华丽丽的礼物，放在圣诞树下，引起小孩们的无限遐思。九岁的恺恩没有说什么，但五岁的恺乐忍不住告诉奶奶，他看到写有他名字的东西了。今年，喜欢书的恺恩跟恺乐都会得到书。喜欢车的三岁星词仍将得到玩具车。而对礼物还没概念的13个月大的雨诗，也会得到一件她不会摇头表示不要的东西。

孩子们要等圣诞节那一天才能知道他们得到什么礼物。我们呢，我们已经收到国内亲友们给我们的礼物。我的弟弟和弟媳从中国来，带来了他们自己，和大家的惠赠。其中有93岁妈妈亲手打制的毛线袜子和颈套，还有她老人家给曾孙女的一对金手镯（最底下一栏最后面的一张照片）。
