Our son Hong again took us to the beach for the July 4th vacation.  We again stayed at WorldMark resort at Depoe Bay, but did not go crabbing.  Instead, we tried clamming, that is, got into the muddy sandy beach to dig for clams.  Hong also did not go out deep-sea fishing with charter boats, but tried, and succeeded, in catching sea perch from the beach.

在这个七月四日美国国庆节，我们的儿子庄宏带大家去海边度假。我们仍然住在度假村，但因为潮水不对，没有去捞螃蟹。我们倒是趁低潮到海滩上去挖蛤蜊。挖蛤蜊是个肮脏活，力气活，但大人小孩都能插一手。这一次，庄宏也没有跟船出海去海钓，而是尝试从海滩边去钓鱼。果然，他钓到好几条美国黄金鲈鱼。
