July the 4th is still 20 days away, but many houses in our neighborhood are already festooned with the flags of the United States. The 24 pictures on this page all show at least one flag, and were taken today, June 14, the Flag Day, most in the morning, and five in the afternoon. That was when I went out for a walk: two miles in the morning by myself, and one mile in the afternoon with Li-qing and Misa, on different routes.
