At
87, my mom is in pretty good health. Every morning she would
go out to the market, bargaining hard and making sure that the
peddler did not cheat on her on scale, or pass out counterfeits
money. While we were still at breakfast, she had begun planning
for lunch and dinner, and out to the market she would go, again.
Hence,except for the photo on top, and the last one below, all
other pictures on this page were taken in the marketing places.
After we arrived homoe on July 9, we spent the
next three days in Shima and Zhangzhou, then another three days
each in Xiamen and Fuzhou. Then I came back to Shima to
stay with my mom, until we left China for Hongkong on August 4.
My next visit in four years should last longer and will not be
in summer.
