is about 300 kilometers (KM) away from Xiamen. In the old
days, it would take about six hours for a bus to travel at a speed
of about 35KM per hour. Nowadays, all highway speed has been increased
to about 65 KM per hour. In our trip, as we had our nephew
driving us in his Toyota VIOS, we were able to stop at Luoyang,
where Li-qing's parents and ancestors used to live, and where
an old building is still preserved in honor of her ancestors.

厦门到福州不过300多公里，但以前时速慢(约35公里)，又需坐渡轮(乌龙江)，总要六个多小时才能到。乌龙江上早就搭了桥，现在又有了高速公路，去一趟福州只需三个小时左右。我们这次去有我们的外甥开自己的丰田“威驰”(Toyota
VIOS) 送我们，所以我们在路过洛阳时还停了一下。丽卿的父母和先辈们原来在这里住过。现在也还保留有一座祖庙。

have produced stone sculptures for use all over the country. Here
