| Once
upon
a
time,
there
was
a
child.
He
was
small,
he
was
not
in
good
health,
he
always
needed
company
of
his
brother,
and
friends,
and
he
sometimes
got
to
feel
really,
really
bored.
Then there was
Maki, even at three years old, who later wrote Kanji for Wei on
his 25th birthday cake, and who eventually became part of his
life, and part of our family, and with whom, we celebrated their
marriage, on this August the eleventh, two thousand and two, with
her parents from Japan, and with us all.
Then, pictures taken on
the boat that evening, with Maki's parents from Japan, and
guest from around the States, estimated to be
90.
