虎年春节 Lunar New Year 2022

My latest web page update was Thanksgiving and Christmas when we all cheered for them but folks in China shied away from it. (Think of it: English street names in Beijing have been replaced with Pinyin!) For this New Year of the Tiger though, we could probably rejoice together. But, due to 16 hours' time difference, when we woke up this morning on this New Year's Eve, the New Year Gala in China was waning, and Happy New Year (恭喜新年）greetings had already poured in.

For several days Liqing has been busy preparing for tonight's dinner, and she got help from our daughter-in-law and grandson nextdoor. Although we have left China for well over 30 years, the food we eat is Chinese, and our folks' wellbeing in China is still in our minds. May we wish everyone for a Happy New Year, for good weather and good harvest, and for the Covid to disappear soon enough.

The pictures on this page show my birthday, Hawaii trip by our young son and family, and Hong's catch of fish now and then. There are also three photos related to the New-Year-Eve. Happiness is when you have family, and being healthy is when you can walk daily, eat well and sleep well.

上一次发网页是感恩节和圣诞节，我们这里高调庆祝，国内低调（想想：连京城路名的英文都改拼音了）。这次庆祝虎年春节，就可以普天同乐了。当然，由于16小时的时差（国内晚上八点的春节晚会是我们这里清晨四点），当我们起床时，春晚已经到尾声，国内亲友们的拜年信息开始陆陆续续传来了。

为了今天的年夜饭，丽卿已经操办好几天了，而且，还不时请就住在隔壁栋的媳妇和孙儿过来帮忙。算来。我们离开故土已经三十多年了，但吃的仍然是中餐。而且国内的亲朋好友，家乡的点点滴滴，仍然记挂在我们心里。值此向各位拜年，祝故土风调雨顺，祝各位平安幸福，祝灾情早日消停。

在本页的照片里，我过了我的生日，小儿子一家去了夏威夷度假，大儿子仍然不时去钓海鱼。还有三张跟除夕夜有关的照片。有家人在旁就是幸福，尚可走路吃饭睡觉就是健康。
