Day before yesterday I met with my students of 37 years ago. It was an honor to be their teacher, and they are my inspiration and my pride. I will be returning to the States two days later. In my two months' stay, thanks to good food and good friends, and blessed by my centarian mother, I've actually gained in weight. I will be missing you all.

前天与漳州前业大学生相聚。转眼间，当年的勤奋的小青年如今都成了称职的爷爷奶奶了。感谢他们37年来一直记得我和许连赞老师。当过他们的老师真是我的荣幸和骄傲。 大后天我就要回美了。回来两个月，在亲友们的热心的“栽培”下，托百岁妈妈的福，我还真长胖了。 这怎么叫我不感谢不思念不牵挂？

Yesterday (12-8-2018) I went to visit a friend whose village is just steps from the sea. We enjoyed everything there: the sea that was just steps away, the redwood furniture that was really beautiful and really heavy, and the gourmet dinner that was the best I've had for years.
