I took my mom for a brief visit to the hometown church she used to go. She cannot walk by herself, and cannot hear well, but she has lots and lots of friends here, in this hometown church. She was met and greeted by smiles from everyone, walking on own steam, with a stick or a walker, or on a wheelchair. Faith and love, is what has sustained this hometown church, for well over 100 years, as witnessed by former Pastor Wu's seven children (web page in Chinese). Love will prevail, always.

The second part of this web page is centered on the root of me and my relatives when we accepted an invitation of my cousin and her husband, who are hosting a banquet for their son and daugher-in-law. I was truly glad to meet with many of my relatives I have not seen for a long long time (30 years or so), and their offspring I have never heard or met. One of the relatives also asked their son to drive us home. His China-made Ford has all the gadgets to boast of: GPS, reverse mirror, and even an instant video recorder. I am so glad that their lives have improved so much in the recent years.

The third part is my days in hometown Shima: what I saw, whom I met.

本网页的第二部分是体现了家族渊源的一场婚宴。许多久别的亲戚，以及他们的我从未谋面的子女，终于在这场婚宴里见到。婚宴结束后，云雕表弟的儿子还开他的车送我们回家。他的中国产的福特车的配置有GPS，有倒车镜，还有行车摄影记录仪，够前端的。家乡亲人们的生活显然有了长足的改善与提高，真好。

第三部分是人在家乡的见闻与经历。
