fifty years, Li-qing is aware that she has relatives in
Taiwan--her eldest and sixth uncles, and their families.
For political cirscumstances on both sides of the Taiwanese
Strait, they never communicated, much less met. Last year,
information came in, and they are one big clan again.
Sixth Uncle's grandson and his wife even made a visit
to us recently, and we spent Christmas 2006 together in
Salem and the beach.
